Surfboard brands and shapers include: Al Merrick, Aloha, Bert Burger, Board Culture, Brewer, Byrne, Clearwater, Gordon and Smith (G&S), Hayden Shapes, Laguna Bay, Mark Richards, McCoy, McTavish, Modern, Meyerhoffer, NSP, 7S, Patterson, Robert August, Rusty, Stretch, Sunova, Surftech, Takayama, Tolhurst, Tuflite, UltraFlx, Wayne Deane, Wayne Lynch, Walden and Webber.

We specifically DO NOT stock any of the cheap, poorly constructed Chinese surfboards. The reason will be obvious to any semi-serious surfer (the boards just ain't made to last, and the local ding repairers don't want to touch them!). For the same money, customers are better advised to buy a good second hand board made by a known shaper/brand as it will perform better and last a lot longer - and give you a better trade-in value when its time to upgrade.

At Board Culture you will find just about everything from retro single fins, the latest Fish and Quads, high performance shortboards, softboards and mini-mals, as well as high performance longboards and cruisy logs for those small days. At any time you will find at least 200 surfboards to choose from.

All types of surfboard construction preferences are catered for at Board Culture. You'll find anything from Surftech's durable high performance Tuflite finish, or their stunning new Ultraflx epoxy boards, together with a mixture of shorties and longboards in traditional PU and fibreglass, SLX epoxy, Hayden's FutureFlex carbon epoxy, and Sunova's parabolic rail/balsa epoxy construction.

With an increasing range of boards finished in stunning resin tints and sprays, our customers can acquire an awesome looking board that will perform equally well in the surf or just hanging on the wall at home!

We also have around 25 demo surfboards ranging in size from approx. 5'9 to 10'0. Customers are welcome to try before they buy for a nominal fee (currently $25 for a max 48 hrs - which is then taken off the price of any board purchased).

Your old board can be traded in on a new shooter, or put on consignment (no sale, no charge), or we will pay cash outright if you just need to move it on. Its value all depends on your board's brand, type, age and condition, etc. A sale by consignment generally gives the customer the best result but it may take a while.

Board Culture also runs a popular surfboard hire service. You can hire anything from bodyboards and flippers thru to softboards, performance shortboards, min-mals, and longboards. Call us or drop an email with your requirements.
